reading the papers....

Not sure if I am biased, but I thought that our Straits Times is quite a nice piece of newspaper to read. At 80cents, this is quite a competitive price relative to newspapers from the rest of the world. Maybe I myself is a heartlander, so I am able to relate more of the news articles wrote abt Singapore. Throw it to a non Singaporean, he or she might be wondering, "nothing special wat! Just an ordinary piece of newspaper"

A lot of people "comprain" that our newspapers should n0t had the price increment from 60 cent to 80 cents then 2 years back.. I thought so too, considering that the company is still profiting in a reasonable fashion. However, if I put myself in the shoes of the editors, it is not easy to write a column. I know that editors are experts in writing craps, but credit should be given to them for putting up excellent articles or "good craps".

Today, I read an article that talked abt the fact that there is a little of "brokeback" in everything that we do. Brokeback Office Ladies(OL), Brokeback Olyumpic(I think I spelt it wrongly) where two men "bent" down together in close contact to ski around a circuit in record time. There is brokeback NSF, brokeback discipline, brokeback Counterstrike....okie, just kidding...

Director Lee did not direct this "brokeback" to express his view on gays. He is not gay too... He does not need to be gay in order to produce a gay show. My good friend Jeffrey told mi that Mingyun cried while watching the movie. Had feedback from him that the movie is quite good. A go item to catch!!! In this way, "Brokeback Mountain" has just been added in to my list of things to do in Singapore.
